Bourbon Sauce

Creamy and sweet with just a touch of spice, there's nothing like a decadent bourbon sauce to pour over cakes and ice cream, or dip fruit in.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • Pinch coarse kosher salt

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the sugar, whisking to combine. Add the cream and vanilla, continuing to whisk until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Remove from the heat and whisk in the bourbon and salt.
  • Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes before using. Mixture will thicken slightly and be a syrup consistency.
