This classic Oyster Mignonette Sauce takes minutes to prepare but elevates raw oysters to restaurant-quality status.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon shallot minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the 1/2 cup red wine vinegar, minced 1 tablespoon shallot, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon sugar until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
