  • 1/2 cup light soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons ginger minced or grated
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 scallions chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • Combine the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger, brown sugar, scallions and sesame oil in a small saucepan.
  • Heat until a low simmer so the flavors can marry.
  • Take off the heat. For a smooth sauce with loads of flavor, pour through a strainer and serve. For a sauce with my texture and flavor, serve as-is.
