Hawaiian Huli Huli Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup light soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup sherry
  • 2 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 2 cloves garlic grated
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, heat the brown sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, soy sauce, sherry, ginger and garlic over medium heat. Allow to heat for 5 minutes.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the cornstarch with 1/2 cup water. Add to the sauce and continue to heat and whisk until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
