- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup light soy sauce
- 1/3 cup sherry
- 2 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- 2 cloves garlic grated
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot
In a medium saucepan, heat the brown sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, soy sauce, sherry, ginger and garlic over medium heat. Allow to heat for 5 minutes.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the cornstarch with 1/2 cup water. Add to the sauce and continue to heat and whisk until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
