How to Make Hazelnut Chocolate Dip

  1. Heat cream. Pour the cream into a small saucepan. Heat cream until warm. 
  2. Add Nutella. Place Nutella in the pan and stir until silky smooth. 
  3. Remove from heat. Remove the Nutella mixture from the heat, add vanilla and salt.
  4. Enjoy! Serve immediately or refrigerate once cooled to room temperature.

Variations

This Nutella sauce is delicious as-is, but you can change it up, too. 

  • Milk: Instead of dairy, use an alternative like almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk. 
  • Liqueur: For an adult version, try adding a splash of Frangelico or other hazelnut liqueur. 
  • Extract: For more nutty flavor, add a few drops of hazelnut extract.

    Nope. didn’t come out at all. Wisked until glossy again but as it cooled it broke again. And, it wasn’t pourable – it was almost just as thick as the original nutella I started with.

    1. I’m really sorry to hear that Suzanne. Could it have been heated too much? If it is too hot for too long, it will seize. The heat is just to let the milk combine a little without slopping around. It is still supposed to be a fairly thick sauce. More milk would have helped thin it if that is what you were going for.
