In this recipe, sweet and juicy mangoes and peaches mingle with jalapenos, bell peppers, and onions for a salsa that adds out-of-this-world flavor to anything you add it to!

What is Mango Peach Salsa?

This peach mango salsa recipe combines the sweet diced fruits with spicy jalapenos and crunchy bell peppers and onions. It’s all dressed with a zesty and sweet combination of lime juice and honey or agave for a salsa that’s chock-full of flavor.

You can use mango peach salsa as a dip for an appetizer or snack or to jazz up all sorts of other dishes from chicken and pork to fish and other seafood. And, of course, it’s a great way to take your tacos to the next level!

What Makes this Mango Peach Salsa Special?

There are tons of fruity salsa recipes out there but this is one of our favorites! Here’s why:

  • It’s Unique. Many fruit salsas incorporate pineapple but this one relies on mangoes and peaches for its sweetness, making it suitable for anyone who may have a pineapple allergy or just prefers a different flavor profile.
  • Minimal Added Liquid. This salsa gets all of its flavor from the fruits, veggies, and herbs without adding extra liquid except for a little bit of lime juice.
  • Has High-Quality Sweeteners. Instead of calling for refined white sugar, this recipe uses agave or honey.

Ingredients

A quick trip to your local grocery store’s produce section will score you most of the ingredients for this simple salsa. You may even have the rest on hand already!

  • Mango – Juicy mango gives the salsa sweet flavor and a bright pop of color.
  • Peaches – Peaches also make the salsa sweet but add a subtle tartness, too.
  • White Or Yellow Onion – Diced onions add a crunchy texture and a pleasantly pungent flavor that contrasts well with the fruit.
  • Yellow or Red Bell Pepper – Bell peppers bring a bit of sweetness to the table and add even more crunchiness.
  • Jalapeno Pepper – The heat of the jalapenos perfectly complements the sweetness of the fruit and gives the salsa a spicy kick.
  • Fresh Cilantro – Cilantro imparts a fresh, herbal flavor that rounds out all of the other ingredients.
  • Agave Nectar Or Honey – A drizzle of agave nectar or honey brings out the natural sweetness of the fruits and balances the heat from the jalapeno. Using agave will make the salsa naturally vegan.
  • Fresh Lime Juice – Lime juice adds citrusy brightness to the salsa.
  • Coarse Kosher Salt – Kosher salt enhances the sweetness of the fruit and bell peppers and the spiciness of the jalapenos, perfectly balancing the salsa’s flavors.

Variations

There are plenty of ways for you to make this mango peach salsa recipe your own. Here are a few ideas.

  • Fruit – Instead of fresh peaches and mangoes, try jarred or frozen varieties. For frozen versions, be sure to thaw before prepping the salad. If you’re using jarred fruit, be sure that it is packed in juice rather than syrup, and drain it completely before mixing with the other ingredients.
  • Avocado – Dice up some avocado to add creaminess to the salsa. If you’re making the salsa ahead of time, wait until just before serving to add the avocado to avoid browning or a mushy texture.
  • Berries – For even more sweetness, add strawberries, blueberries, or blackberries.
  • Herbs – Swap out cilantro for fresh Thai basil or mint.
  • Tomato – Dice some tomatoes to add a bit of color, sweetness, and slight acidity to the salad.
  • Onion – While I like using white or yellow onions for a color contrast with the other ingredients, you can swap those out and chop up a red onion instead.
  • Garlic – If you can’t get enough garlic in your life, try mincing up a medium-sized clove to mix into the salsa.
  • Spices – If you’re looking for a more spicy salsa, experiment with adding chili powder or cayenne pepper powder.
  • Zest – Add some lime zest to the salsa for more concentrated citrusy flavor.

What To Serve Mango Peach Salsa With

I love to serve this fruit salsa over seafood like salmon, scallops, lobster, and shrimp! But it also pairs well with pork and chicken and it’s a great addition to a Southwest-style salad

We also love to stuff the salsa into all kinds of tacos — especially fish tacos! Or use it as a dip with plantain chips, tortilla chips, or toasted pita bread.

How to Make Mango Peach Salsa

It couldn’t be easier to make this fruity salsa!

  1. Add fruit and veggies to bowl. Toss together the diced fresh fruit, onion, red and yellow bell pepper, jalapeno, and cilantro in a large bowl.
  2. Make dressing. Stir the lime juice and salt with the agave or honey in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour dressing over produce. When the lime juice and honey or agave are completely combined, pour the mixture into the bowl with the fruits and vegetables and gently stir to coat.
  4. Chill or serve. Refrigerate or serve over top of proteins or as an appetizer or side dish with chips for dipping.
